![]() One is a sliding switch, the other is the round type where you turn it so the pointer lines up with the correct voltage. The missing part has the contacts which correspond to the contact points inside the switch. Inside there are 6 wires coming from the switch, some go to the primary side of the main transformer, some go straight to the main pcb. Ive tried finding a replacement switch with no luck so I figured if I join the appropriate wires for 240V, it should work ok. The problem is I dont have a wiring diagram and testing with a multimeter doesnt help much without knowing which wires do what. If theres anybody who is familiar with the SA range of Pioneer amps or can tell me which wires should be connected for a 240V supply, maybe they could point me in the right direction. Im sure Im not the first person to have this problem and I guess the same switch was used for various Pioneer amps. Thanks. PS My music taste varies from Pink Floyd to Cardiacs and I use Sony equipment, just in case youre wondering. Today I looked again at the wiring and after much head-scratching decided there could only be one logical answer. Ive linked two wires and soldered together and the amp now works perfectly.
